Wilfred Yap solves Kota Sentosa sewage pipes and public toilet problem

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief Wilfred Yap during his regular “turun padang” activity with local community leaders and SUPP members to 7th Mile area are frequently approached by residents and business community for assistance to request the local  Council to carry out improvement and repair works to damaged infrastructure facilities like drains and roads. Following such requests for assistance received, the problems are always immediately communicated to the relevant authorities for their immediate action to carry maintenance and repair works.

Recently, the business community of 7th Mile had complained about the blocked sewage pipe at the male toilets of the Kota Sentosa Market causing great inconveniences to the customers of the market. The business community have also complained on blocked and damaged sewage pipes behind some shophouses opposite the Kota Sentosa Market.

Following the request for assistance received, the two complaints was immediately communicated to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) and the blocked sewage pipes at the male toilets at Kota Sentosa Market have been cleared and  repaired. However the blocked and damaged sewage pipes behind the shophouses involves major construction works and MPP is in the process of applying for extra government funds to carry out the repair works. SUPP will continue to follow up and monitor the situation closely with MPP until the whole repair works are completed.

Wilfred Yap who is also SUPP Kota Sentosa Branch Chairman shall  continue to serve the local community regardless of their political inclinations (“people over politics”) by resolving their predicaments especially so during this period of Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) due to the Covid-19 pandemic. SUPP Public Complaints Bureau and Kota Sentosa Branch shall continue to be focused and fully committed to serving the “rakyat”
