Soo Li Ching disagree with SOP on civil servants entering Sarawak

The SDMC announcement that the conditions for both business personnel and civil servants to enter are not subjected to the SOP unlike other citizens enter Sarawak to undergo be  testis putting others at risk.

She said even though as a Political Secretary, I am obliged to speak up on behalf of the Sarawakians and feedback for any policy or measures that are seems to be inappropriate, for better improvement.

“We understand the difficulties and position of the Sarawak Government who have been receiving a lot of feedbacks and complaints on their inconvenience, especially the civil servants, and therefore the latest decision as such was made. However, from the perspective of the people on the aspect of their safety and preventions on the risk of the virus spreading, a stricter measurement and control for entering Sarawak should be applied, ” she said.

Although it seems that the latest result of the Covid-19 pandemic in Sarawak is getting better and more stable, Soo said we still must continue be cautious.

Shw added that civil servants and business personnel should make use of the online digital technologies to reduce travelling for face to face meeting and replace it with virtual meeting and should be even more discipline during this Covid-19 period, trying their best to reduce travelling for official duty by physical appearance but replace it with the new norm and adopt new working mode.

“No matter the civil servant or the business personnel or any Sarawakians, during this period of time we all should be responsible not only to ourselves, but also for the community and public as well. The rules and regulations are not meant to  make life difficult for everyone, but with the cooperation of all the parties, we can win this war. I urge all the Sarawakians to love Sarawak, protect our Sarawak, love our family and friends by complying the SOP provided and always be cautious, be discipline and be responsible. We all should start to get use to the new norm to move on, ” she added.
