Expelled – Jerip, Ranum and Jonical

Three State Assemblymen, Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil (Bengoh), Ranum Mina (Opar) and Jonical Rayong (Engkilili) has been expelled during the Central working committee (CWC) held today (14 Jun 2014) at the party headquarters.

In a press conference after the CWC , party President, Tan Sri Peter Chin said letters had been issued to the three State Assemblymen who has gone against the party constitution on May 20, giving them 14 days to reply and if they do not do so, they will be expelled.

He said the three had appeared in a press conference on May 15 joining former SUPP Chairman, Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh to join Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (TERAS).  The letter wanted them to clarify on their status but they never replied.

“As it was past 14 days, the  CWC unanimously expelled them.  The secretary general will write to them,” said Chin.

Wong had team up with former President of Sarawak Progressive  Democratic Party (SPDP) Tan Sri William Mawan and the G4 group, Datuk Peter Nansian(Tasik Biru), Datuk Sylvester Entri(Marudi), Paulus Gumbang (Batu Danau) and Rosy Yunus (Bekenu) and SWP George Lagong to form Teras.

Wong was expelled on May 31 after a CWC meeting then.

Wong has been at odds with Chin since 2011 after Wong boycotted the Triennial delegates conference (TDC) of which the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak was officiating.

Since then there was an internal squabbles which led two branches, Bekenu and Piasau to be de-reigstered and a showcause letter to the party. However, in May, the Registrar of Society cleared both the branches and the SUPP after accepting their appeals.
