House Repair Programme
The House Repair Programme, under the Urban Poverty Eradication Programme of the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government (KPKT) , was officially handed over to Kiplie anak Aji recently.
State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang said an allocation of RM15,000.00 per house is provided by the Federal Ministry to enable the Council to repair houses for the poor registered under e-Kasih of which Kiplie is entitled .
The funding for this programme comes from KPKT and the Padawan Municipal Council is the implementer.
Lo said for the year 2017, the Padawan Municipal Council has successfully implemented and repaired 23 houses for the poor living in the Council’s area of jurisdiction. A total funding of RM344,493.04 was received by the Council in 2017. For Phase 1/2017, the Council repaired 15 houses with an allocation of RM224,602.95 and the repairs were completed on 9 June 2017. For Phase 3/2017, the Council repaired 8 houses with a funding of RM119,890.09 and the house repairs were completed on 20 November 2017.
