Jamilah to uphold her husband’s legacy

Tanjong Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu, has called on Lundu residents to be patient as she wants to develop Lundu to be a tourist town.

She said she wants so much to make  Lundu into a clean and beautiful place much like Sematan with attractions for locals and visitors,” she told reporters when met at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex yesterday.

She said she will fulfil all her pledges made during the election and to uphold her husband Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s legacy.

The implementation of the bridge , she hoped, will bring more visitors and tourists there. More development, both minor and major, will be implemented gradually and involve a huge of budget, so these will take time .

Earlier, she witnessed the presentation of RM300,000 in state funds to SK Chung Hua Lundu for the construction of a preschool and other facilities.

Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg presented the cheque to school board chairman Chen Chung Yee.
