SSPCA to start a low cost spay-neuter program
SSPCA (Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) committee members recently met with YB Datuk Sim Kui Hian, Minister of Local Government and Housing, to discuss getting a government house to start a low cost spay-neuter program for low income groups and registered animal rescuers.
Other items discussed were the first official pilot Capture Neuter Vaccinate and Return (CNVR) program with MBKS and the adaptation of the Animal Welfare Bill 2015 for Sarawak.
SSPCA also appealed to Datuk Sim to make the CNVR program a policy throughout Sarawak as a humane means of controlling stray animals.
