SSPCA (Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) committee members recently met with YB Datuk Sim Kui Hian, Minister of Local Government and Housing, to discuss getting a government house to start a low cost spay-neuter program for low income groups and registered animal rescuers. 砂防止虐待动物协会拜会沈桂贤
砂拉越防止虐待动物协会主席拿汀黄多娜于昨日礼貌拜会砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤。 此行的目的是争取政府的援助，让该会可以落实低成本阉割计划，让低下阶层人士与注册的动物保护组织受惠。同时，也讨论关于与古晋南市合作的“捕捉、绝育、疫苗注射及放回原处”计划（CNVR）。 砂拉越防止虐待动物协会也吁请沈桂贤协助，让“捕捉、绝育、疫苗注射及放回原处”计划延伸至全砂各地，以控制流浪猫狗的数量。
沈桂贤：持续确保安全成为职场文化
砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤保证，房屋部会确保安全继续成为工作场合文化。 他表示，从工程工地到房屋的设计，安全永远都是第一考量，这是毫无妥协的。 沈桂贤是于日前接见全国职场安全及卫生机构（Niosh）主席丹斯里李霖泰时，这么表示。 对于本身受委托掌管房屋部，沈桂贤表示感谢首长拿督拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里的信任，并且誓言本身会尽全力确保人民从政府房屋政策中受惠。 李霖泰对此感谢砂州政府采取积极的态度保障职场安全。 他也在场移交他的职场安全书籍予沈桂贤。
