Palliative Care Association of Miri
The Palliative Care Association of Miri led by its Chairman, Richard Wong paid a visit to Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting to thank him for his help to source a piece of land for them.
Five years ago, the Palliative Care Association had applied for land to help those with terminal disease and last year, Ting handed a letter from the Association to the Chief Minister’s office to ask a piece of land for them to start a palliative care for the terminal ill and support to their families.
A two acre land was subsequently approved at the Miri by pass for the Association.
The Association currently has 60 patients and 40 volunteers.
