A walkabout around the Jakar Bazaar area, Sarikei indicated that the place needs a total facelift; a better drainage system, cleaner street and environment, a conducive market place.

The Bazaar is a potential tourist attraction and a favourite spot for road travellers heading towards Kuching or Sibu/Bintulu/Miri.

This issue was raised by a number of businessmen and the locals during Teng’s visit with Kpt Hoo, Cr Kua, Cr Egong, Cr Leong and local leaders.
