A major cleanup operation is underway in Miri following recent floods, with strong support from the Shin Yang Group of Companies and local authorities. Piasau State Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting stated that the initiative began after Miri City Council Mayor Adam Yii contacted Datuk James Ling, Group Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Shin Yang Group of Companies, on Saturday, February 8.
