砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于13日上午,与中国驻古晋领事馆总领事刘全共同享用道地美食辣沙。 在场包括古晋社团领袖与代表,众人此行也是为即将在明年1月份离任的刘全送别。 沈桂贤感谢刘全在担任中国驻古晋领事馆总领事期间,为促进砂拉越与中国关系而做出的贡献。他期望将来两地关系会持续增进,彼此友好合作与交流。


Farewell for Chinese Consul-General

A farewell “Laksa Lunch” with Liu Quan, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching, was held recently at the Waterfront. SUPP Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian thanked Liu for the excellent contribution to the Sarawak-China bilateral relationship.

砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员呼吁时下年轻人不应该沦陷于智能手机、平板电脑等科技产品的低头族,反之应以走出去“面对面”的与家人、朋友沟通及分享一切事物,这么一来,人生才会过的充实及有意义。 他说,随着手机与电脑越来越普遍,许多真伪的资讯都能个轻易按个键就分享或看见,故年青人亦要认真思考及辨认其真假。 他称,“面对面”的谈话是必须的社交,因为在面对面的交谈及沟通之中,所能达到的社交关系、分享、学习与生活体验都很充实。 沈桂贤昨日出席第17届全国大专升学辅导生活营《别在低头了》主持开幕仪式上致词时,如是表示。 与此同时,他也呼吁年轻人要持着“学无止境”的心态,时刻都要持着学习精神与谦虚学习的态度,才不会被社会淘汰。 他举例,身为心脏专科医生的自己亦同样每天在不断的学习,学习更多心脏在技术及治疗的新科技,才能继续培训下一代人才,让他们成为杰出的心脏医生,继续为国家、为人民提供医疗服务。


Nanyang Wushu Drum festival

SUPP President Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian officiated the opening of the Nanyang Wushu Drum festival on Friday at Crown Square. Dr Sim Said the Persekutuan Wushu Nanyang Sarawak has an excellent record of winning both local and international competitions. He said such sport activity is a good way to promote fitness, team work and discipline. He praised the lion dance troupe, as they are multi racial, making Sarawak a truly 1Sarawak.


Dr Sim: Sarawak to chart its own development according to local sentiment

Dr Sim: Amend laws that effect Sarawakian’s rights

The federal government should take another look at the Malaysia Agreement 1963 as there are unhappiness expressed by Sarawakians, particularly where development is concerned, said SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.
