There has been some speculations recently as to whether it is my intention to retire and not contest for the post of President of SUPP during the up-coming Triennial Delegates Conference 2014 (TDC 2014) which has been scheduled to be held on 23rd and 24th August, 2014. 朋岭支部提名日
配合全砂各支部同步举行的提名程序，砂人联党朋岭支部于今早上午10时开始，亦进行支部执委会改选提名。 党中央秘书长拿督沈桂贤上议员于上午10时开始，将其提名表格呈上，他也是朋岭支部的主席。同时，青年团总团长陈开也呈上其提名表格，他是朋岭支部青年团团长。 沈桂贤表示，希望全砂支部都能按照党章，从上午10时开始进行提名，直到傍晚5时为止。 朋岭支部、青年团及妇女组党员大会暨新届执委选举，将在8月3日（星期日）上午10时于古晋一园潮州菜馆举行。另外，朋岭支部属下双溪亚榜分部则定在7月27日（星期日）上午10时于古晋一园潮州菜馆举行。

SUPP Pending Branch held their branch election this morning at their headquarters. Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, who is the incumbent Chairman and Tan Kai who is the Youth incumbent Chairman, filed in their nomination papers. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Kpl Rajah Jamuan who perished whilst on duty on Sat 12 July 2014 on Mabul Island Resort. All members of SUPP pray for the safety of Constable Zakiah Aliep who was kidnapped. Malaysians are grateful to our security forces sacrifices in defending the country. 沈桂贤呼吁菲政府协助我国将犯罪分子绳之以法
砂人联党秘书长拿督沈桂贤上议员，对于日前发生在沙巴马布岛的武装份子入侵事件，导致一名警员不幸殉职表示关注。 他在一篇文告上表示，全体人联党党员向这名殉职警员，即已故阿都拉惹加姆安伍长的家人，致予深切慰问。 “全体马来西亚人，都应该感激执法人员，不顾性命保卫我们的家园。” 与此同时，沈桂贤也对在事件中被武装份子掳走，目前下落不明的警员查基亚阿立，致予真诚祷告，希望他会平安归来。 他强调，人联党全力支持首相拿督斯里纳吉保卫国家安全的政策与决定，同时，也希望菲律宾政府能扮演积极的角色，协助将犯罪份子绳之以法。
