Adam Yii as candidate
At the recent SUPP Pujut Branch Sa’ati Unity dinner on 16 January, Adam Yii has formally accepted the nomination by the Pujut Branch to be the candidate for the upcoming Sarawak election. He also asserted that the Branch party election machinery has been officially activated and has decided to be a full time politician.

俞小珊宣布出战埔奕
砂人联党埔奕支部主席俞小珊向党员及党承诺，本身将竭尽所能服务人民，尽力做到最后。 “我要感谢砂人联党埔奕支部推荐我出战埔奕，感激大家给予我的信任，和负于的重任”。 他说，尽管各支部所推荐的候选人名单，必须交由党中央领导作出最后的审核。 俞小珊是在1990年加入砂人联党，期间担任过珠巴分会和美里青年团助理组织秘书。之后，被选为美里青年团组积秘书。 在该党埔奕支部成立后，俞小珊在2007年被选为埔奕支部署理主席，直至2014年随着谢超发引退，而被推选为主席，并担任党中央宣教秘书。 他说，在人联党的25年日子里，本身对人联党一直以来所扮演的政治角色和立场都很清楚。 “人联党服务人民坚定宗旨和立场从来没有摇摆，这是事实。” 他强调，如今人联党已重返秉持服务人民和保障砂拉越子民权益的斗争轨道。 现年59岁的俞小珊育有1女1男，退休前是名地质学家。目前为全职的政治工作者。
古晋四小义卖会
古晋中华小学第四校校舍扩建筹款义卖会于昨日上午在南市民众会堂成功举行，现场共设立了逾100个摊位，热闹非凡。 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员受邀主持开募。他在仪式上致词时赞扬，砂拉越不但华小办得好，独中亦办得十分出色，因此，希望中国政府批准中国大学到砂拉越办分校，那么，独中生就不用因升学而离乡背井了。 身为四小校友的他认为，砂拉越应将目标瞄向邻国，比如新加坡和印尼等，因为这些国家国民渴望学习中文，如果本州能办一所私立的国际学校，相信一定相当受欢迎。 拿督沈桂贤信心满满地说，华校办义卖等筹款活动时向来无需担心，因为华社都非常热心，当然，也是因为有个好的领导才能成功。 他称，砂拉越应该要争取更多自主权，例如教育自主权。 他说，联邦教育拨款好不容易才等到；此外，今年开学，华小也受到的“华小国语课本课题”影响，即没有经过内阁决定就将华小的国语课本与国小的国语课本统一，这是非常糟糕的。 因此，他希望人民可以继续支持现任首长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登，同时，再给予人联党5年的表现的机会，让该党为民服务。
Heart Centre 5th Anniversary celebration.
The Pusat Jantung Hospital Umum Sarawak has been changed to Pusat Jantung Sarawak since January 1 this year and yesterday was its 5th anniversary celebration. 位于三马拉汉的砂拉越中央医院心脏专科中心于本月16日迎来创立5周年纪念，该中心高级顾问拿督沈桂贤上议员于15日当晚提前与医护人员庆祝，在场包括砂拉越中央医院心脏专科中心院长阿里斯。 于2011年1月16日，砂拉越中央医院心脏专科中心由首相拿督斯里纳吉主持开幕礼。
乡区福利探访
由砂人联党青年团秘书长邓文武率领的泗里街支部青年团乡区福利探访，于日前探访一位单亲妈妈。 该单亲妈妈带着6位儿童（幼一，一年级，二年级，四年级，五年级，六年级），面对极大生活压力，居住在简陋的木屋内。儿童也面对上学的问题。 邓文武等人为这位单亲妈妈送上干粮等，并了解其需求，以跟进帮助。

砂拉越人民联合党石角支部在石角区推动的乡村转型计划进展顺利，也获得当地民众支持和赞赏。 乡村转型计划是首相拿督斯里纳吉推行的乡村发展计划之一，其中包括提升道路设施和排水系统等。人联党石角支部多个月来积极在石角区推行清理道路两旁丛林工程，并取得预期进展。 有多个港门的道路丛林已被清理，有些正在进行，有些还有展开。人联党石角支部承诺这项工程涵盖所有石角区，因此还没清理的港门民众不必担心，当局将会尽快做出安排。 此外一些比较狭小的路面，也会在乡村转型计划下加宽，方便车辆同行。 人联党石角支部主席拿督斯里陈如飞、秘书林亚德、巴达旺市议会主席罗克强及多名人联党思故邦分部执委等昨日巡视工程进展，并对承包商和当地民众给予的配合表示感谢。 陈如飞表示，人联党需要民众继续配合与支持，确保所有计划能顺利落实，这次推动的乡村转型计划便是合作的最佳典范。

砂拉越中华总商会于昨晚举行50周年庆典晚宴，获得全砂23个分会超过5000名会员出席，场面热烈。 砂资源策划与环境部第二部长兼工业发展部部长拿督阿玛阿旺登雅代表首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登出席这项晚宴。出席的贵宾包括砂拉越中华总商会会长许如湘，砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员。 沈桂贤恭贺砂中总迈入创会50周年，为本州经济发展带来积极贡献，而古晋中华商会更是已经创会120年，历史悠久。 他强调，未来的经济契机与挑战包括中国的“一带一路”，跨太平洋伙伴关系协定（TPPA）及东盟共同体等等。因此，砂中总必须装备自己，迎合全球化、快速发展与多变的新时代。
八点地民生课题
砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获来自八点地第19巷及第24A巷居民要求协助解决问题。来自第19巷居民投诉年久失修的道路及通往其住家的路边杂草丛生。第24A巷的居民则向叶耀星投诉因为杂草丛生及灌木堆积问题而影响水流量。 收到投诉后，叶耀星前往现场实地检查后已向南市市政局反映相关问题并希望有关当局可以协助第19巷及第24A巷的居民解决问题。 本身也是砂拉越人民联合党哥打圣淘沙支部秘书的叶耀星先前已向有关单位反映有关八点地的道路及排水问题。叶耀星也要求向有关当局对八点地的排水问题进行研究以寻求一个全面的解决方案。此外，叶耀星同时希望现任该区国会议员及州议员向相关政府部门反映及申请拨款以解决区上问题。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉（016-7797688或082246999）或亲临人联党总部。

Education Ministry aid to schools in Sarawak
The Education Ministry yesterday handed over aid totaling RM25.355 million to 153 Chinese National type, 99 mission and 10 conforming secondary schools in Sarawak under its Pakej Rancangan Khas (PRK) for this year. Deputy Education Minister, Senator Chong Sin Woon presented the cheques to principals, headmasters and the school board. SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian was also at the ceremony.

新年气息逐渐降临

电子关怀计划e-kasih说明会
砂人联党中央妇女组与联邦妇女, 家庭与社会发展部合作，于本月9日主办电子关怀计划e-kasih说明会，让本地更多人了解关于这项计划。 这项说明会是在砂人联党总部团结厅举行，时间是从上午9时至中午12时。 人联党中央妇女组希望透过这项说明会，让更多华裔同胞能够了解电子关怀计划e-kasih，毕竟目前申请该计划的华裔并不多。 公众受促踊跃出席这项说明会，入场免费。
成功申请出生证
砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星接获一名来自新生村的郑氏单亲母亲有关其孩子出生证的问题。她的孩子已经7岁但因无出生证而无法就读小学。 这起事件起因是不了解国民登记局相关程序及无法提呈所需文件。 经过多年努力与数人协助依然徒劳无功，郑女士翻阅报章得知人联公共投诉局帮助民众处理公共投诉后前往寻求协助。 人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星得知该名单亲母亲的问题后成功协助其向国民登记局办理出生证。 人联党公共投诉局提醒如有面对相关问题之民众可前来寻求协助。经查证属实，人联党将伸出援手且尽力解决问题。任何相关事宜可联系公共投诉局016-7797688及082246999或亲临人联党总部。
