Datuk Harden hosting Christmas open house

沈桂贤：国家安全理事会应纳入砂沙代表
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员强调，惟有国家元首才可以颁布“安全区”。 他在国会上议院参与2015年国家安全理事会法案辩论时说，该法案授权首相颁布“安全区”的做法，应该修正为国家元首。 另外，他认为，砂沙首席部长应该被纳入国家安全理事会的成员，而倘若砂砂地区被颁布为“安全区”，必须要强制性获得首长批准。 他说，截至目前为止，国家安全理事会没有来自东马砂沙的代表，这令东马人民感觉悲哀，因为凡涉及砂沙权益的课题，联邦政府都应该慎重对待。 他强调，即使没纳入砂沙首长进入国家安全理事会阵容，也应该要考虑接纳由两州政府委任的代表进入该理事会。 他理解2015年国家安全理事会法案的目的是授权国家安全理事会应对涉及国家安全的课题，毕竟在这个时代，恐怖主义是一项不容忽视的课题。无论如何，他强调依据宪法拟订法案是至关重要的。 “若回顾马来西亚成立的历史，当年马来西亚是由马来亚、新加坡（1965年退出））、砂拉越及沙巴共同组成，而后来拟订的任何法案条文，应该要纳入砂拉越与沙巴人民的心声，以符合参组伙伴的地位。” 沈桂贤表示，倘若2015年国家安全理事会法案，最终还是没有依据砂沙人民的诉求而作出修正下通过，砂沙人民必然会深感失望，产生在基建发展与国家安全课题上，均被边缘化的感受。 另外，他认为，涉及在砂沙颁布“安全区”以应对紧急状况的课题，获得国家安全理事会授权在这些“安全区”执行权力的官员，必须是要来自砂沙本地，并且是获得首长的批准。 他强调，相关官员绝对不可是来自西马，而在当时成立的任何委员会，应该要纳入砂沙代表。
人联党援助肌肉萎缩少年
砂人联党美里卑尔骚支部和埔奕支部日前合赠轮椅予北卑尔骚区一名十七岁少年艾仁斯德约瑟。 该名少年艾仁斯德约瑟不幸患上肌肉萎缩顽疾，目前已无法上学。该少年由于肌肉神经萎缩已无法正常坐立，但是，他却苦于家境贫若而无能力购置轮椅。 幸好日前经一群教会友人在一集会上偶向拿督陈超耀和俞小珊谈起该名少年人境况后，人联党两支部即刻购置轮椅予该名少年。 砂人联党埔奕支部主席俞小珊透露，该党日前已将轮椅移交给少年了。他表示，人联党一直以来都尽期所能，为社会弱势和贫苦群体给予各方面协助。

砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于日前出席古晋福建公会妇女组主办的健康讲座会。 他在致词时表示，我国尤其是砂州，根据1986年的数据显示，当时100人中有6.8人患上糖尿病，而在2011年时，100人有20人患上糖尿病。 他称，整个东南亚，最多超重及糖尿病患者马来西亚人数高居不下，尤其是妇女，这是值得关注的健康课题。 “人人每次说行情不好，但为何还有那么多人患上糖尿病，这证明我国迈向发展的时候，经济成功，人们吃得太多，却不懂怎么样去照顾健康？”

沈桂贤：栽培年轻人接班最为重要
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员认为，栽培年轻有为的接班人非常重要，相较于本身的成就，能栽培杰出的接班人才是最大的成功。 他说，本身身为政治人物，其中一个目标就是要栽培及培养更多年轻的接班人。 他声称，自己不会参政太久的时间，更不会眷恋权利而不退位，毕竟人生短暂，还有很多有意义的事可以做。 由青运浮罗岸支会及肯雅兰支会联合主办的第一届“青运之星“流行歌曲歌唱赛昨日在富丽华商场举办，沈桂贤担任开幕主宾。 沈桂贤在致词时赞扬青运举办相关青年有意义的活动，提供平台予年轻人发挥，同时让舞台成为青年走向世界舞台的踏脚石。 他表示，从2018年开始，青年运动领导者必须是30岁或以下，因此栽培青少年必须现在开始做起，以便接班后续有人。 他说，全砂有250万人口，其中50%为30岁以下青年，因此需要栽培这些国家未来接班人。 他希望青运在未来能举办更多发掘才华的活动，提供平台予青少年参与。

The Sarawak Chinese Physicians Association has set up a mobile clinic（free service） at Muara Tuang on December 19 with a view to helping treat the people in the area. SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian thanked the Sarawak Chinese Physicians Association for their dedication and service to the community, some who are old and not convenient to travel. He said others can emulate from the association the good deeds to spread kindness and lend assistance to one another.

砂拉越中医师公会与三马拉汉摩拉端路民众联谊会从18日起，一连两天在摩拉端路美罗花园商业中心联办施医赠药义诊，反应不俗。 这是由会长何庆福领导的砂拉越中医师公会，今年内一系列施医赠药义诊活动之一，该会过去曾经到各个地区展开类似活动，甚至受邀到外州参与当地的义诊。 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于昨日亲临义诊活动现场，与在场的中医师交流，并且对于他们的热心表示赞许。 在场者包括三马拉汉摩拉端路民众联谊会主席本固鲁蔡恒辉、义诊活动大会主席张传功、人联党石角支部主席陈如飞及巴都林当支部主席薛华东。 超过30位来自中国、台湾及本地的中医师参与这次义诊活动，为民众提供的义诊服务包括骨伤科、内科、推拿、针灸、整骨、皮肤科、拔罐及妇科等。 这项施医赠药义诊活动亦获得中国工商银行的赞助。 另一方面，砂拉越中医师公会每周四上午9时至中午12时，都会在人联党总部举行义诊活动，每次至少有两名中医师提供谘询与看诊服务。
沈桂贤：华小联邦拨款料近期发放
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员披露，他已经与副教长张盛闻上议员讨论砂拉越华小拨款事宜，后者预料会在近期内，前来州内分发今年联邦财政预算案的华小拨款。 他表示，首相拿督斯里纳吉之前是宣布今年财政预算案拨给国内华小的拨款数额是5000万令吉，不过后来这笔拨款部分用于水灾赈灾用途，因此只剩下2000万令吉分发给华小。 他说，人联党与马华均认为此做法不对，并已经向首相反映。 无论如何，他希望砂拉越华小应得的拨款，会尽快获得颁发。 “我上个星期在国会内与张盛闻提及，砂拉越尚有许多华小未获得拨款，他答应会在近期内处理，并亲自来到砂拉越移交支票给相关学校。” 沈桂贤是于日前巡视古晋中华小学第四校董扩建工程时，这么表示。 他承诺，会尽量帮助有需要的学校争取发展拨款，包括石角、巴都吉当与雅沙再也地区的华小都需要维修与改善设施。他也强调，华小并不单是属于华社的，在州内，就连友族同胞也踊跃报读华小。 另一方面，他重申希望本州能设立中国大学分校，因为西马目前已经有一所厦门大学分校，因此东马也应该要有一间大学分校。对此，他已经向纳吉反映，希望后者能与中国当局展开洽谈。 沈桂贤在仪式上，移交人联党一笔5万令吉的支票予古晋中华小学第四校扩建校舍委员会，由该会主席蔡文铎律师代收。该笔拨款是赞助四小一间新课室。
