Piasau SUPP Chairman, Dato Sebastian went to check out a problem on the drains in Padang Kerbau. Together with him was Pujut Chairman, Adam Yii. They were together with the Drainage Irrigation department officers to see what could be done before the next rainy season. The area is always flooded during rainy season.

包久松关于行动党“废除GST集会”的挑战回应
人联党古晋支部代言人包久松针对行动党“废除GST集会”的挑战作出如下回应： 针对火箭盆岭州议员杨薇讳于3月11日的文告，挑战人联党出席4月2日的“废除GST集会”，我于3月22日通过报章回应，决定出席集会，为了慎重起见，我于3月31日正式致函杨薇讳，要求确定时间地点。令人遗憾的，杨薇讳至今跟本不曾回应。 既然杨薇讳敢提出挑战，为何不敢回应？这种虎头蛇尾的做法，证明火箭利用GST搞民粹，通过在西马的造势来误导本州选民，这种为反对而反对的陈旧招式，何曾有顾及砂拉越人民的利益？ 人联党古晋支部的立场是：由于消费税已经在国会立法通过并实施，以目前在国会朝野力量悬殊，不能单靠空喊来废除消费税。站在维护砂拉越人民的立场，唯一的解决途径，就是由砂州政府来暂停实施。 人联党古晋支部在去年10月16日发起签名运动的目的，就是为了收集足够的民意，一旦州政府向联邦收回税收权，将向立法议会及州内阁提呈此动议。我们希望各界支持阿德南向联邦收回税收权的行动，我们相信，一旦取回税收权，砂州政府将拥有更多资金来改善人民的生活，我们向州政府提呈暂停消费税的诉求是可预期实现的。 自从古晋支部发动零消费税签名运动以来，已经获得良好的反应。可是，火箭却在搞破坏，泼冷水。张健仁说我们的签名运动是“政治诈骗”，张妈妈也从旁帮腔，而周婉诗说“贼喊捉贼”，最后，再由杨薇讳摆出“空城计”。 我们要指出，提出反对的意见并不是火箭的“专有权”，但是空喊反对而不提出解决办法，却是火箭的“独门暗器”。更予人话柄的是张健仁宣布消费税将从6%提高至10%，纳吉驳斥中央并没有这项决定后，张健仁的“政治诈骗”成了愚人节的笑话！ 鉴于州选即将来临，火箭公开宣称把反GST当作宣传主题，而公正党也随声附和。为了砂拉越人民的利益，我们正式挑战火箭，大家进行公开辩论，主题是：如何在砂州暂停实施消费税。如果你们同意，大家共同决定时间，地点，以及由中立人士主持公开辩论会。为了不被认为我们的辩论会是为了影响选票，请在4月11日州议会解散之前进行辩论。我们敬候佳音。
Dialogue with Kota Padawan Mile 10 community
A huge crowd turned up on Sunday night at Kota Padawan Mile 10 where SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian and other candidates held a dialogue session with the community there. Dr. Sim encouraged the people to ask whatever questions they wanted to know and he and his candidates would tell them the real scenario. The party had been holding such talks frequently with the people on the ground.

Paying respect to past leaders
SUPP president Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian and some party leaders yesterday paid their respects to past leaders who died fighting imperialism and colonisation in the 1960s. From the Hakka Cemetery, they proceeded to the Batu Kitang Anglican Cemetery to pay their respect to past presidents the late Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui and the late Tan Sri Stephen Yong. They also visited Nirvana Memorial Park for the same commemorative gesture. It was said that some 800 party members were laid to rest at the memorial park.

泗里街人民受促踊跃出席8日集会
泗里街国阵协调员陈冠勋呼吁泗里街人民踊跃出席于8日举行的与首长集会。 他指出，首长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登将于当天莅临泗里街镇，会见人民。希望届时各族群，尤其是国阵支持者能够踊跃出席，给首长支持。 他是3日中午出席由人联党泗里街支部举办的会见长屋屋长及发展委员会主席集会上，发表谈话。 虽然国阵尚未宣布芦勃州选区及马拉端州选区的国阵候选人，但陈冠勋强调，选民应该全力支持国阵人联党候选人。 他希望在来届州大选中，将芦勃议席及马拉端议席争取回来，由国阵代议士出任，对选区进行更大的发展。 另一方面，人联党芦勃区潜能候选人邓文武表示，来临的州选是泗里街人民决定未来的关键时刻。 他说，若泗里街人民想要更多的发展，就应该投票支持国阵。
人联党抨击火箭借消费税课题恐吓选民
砂拉越人民联合党指出，行动党炒作没有根据的消费税课题，是一种恐吓选民的政治手段，旨在选民中制造不安和恐慌。 人联党州选党中央行动室表示，行动党以恐吓选民手段来捞取选票已非新鲜事，过去他们曾说一旦国阵获胜油价将大起，也曾表示某些领袖不倒人民就会吃草，可是事实都不是如此。 “政府已表明，现阶段没有调高消费税计划，行动党砂州主席张健仁所谓国阵获胜消费税将提高至10%的说法，不仅毫无根据，是无稽之谈，也显示行动党穷无他路，只能利用恐吓手段来欺骗选民。” 人联党称，若行动党在州选取得更多议席，将影响砂州政府拿回更多自主权的议程，从行动党一再使出抹黑和欺骗做法，证明该党不要砂州拥有更多自主权。 人联党希望选民明白，强大的国阵议会代表和强大的国阵各族人民代表内阁政府，才是拿回自主权的本钱筹码。砂州需要更强的政府和议会才对砂州人民有利，选民应把握开明首长执政机会给他支持，失去这次机会，或许永远不会有第二次。
