SPBC – illegal rubbish dump
The SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by residents of 6 ½ Mile, Penrissen Road, Kota Sentosa who complained to on an illegal rubbish dump by the road side of a recycling business about 2 weeks ago.
After listening to the residents and after making a preliminary assessment of their problem, SPCB on behalf of the residents of 6 ½ Mile, Penrissen Road, Kota Sentosa have highlighted and notified Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) on the illegal rubbish dump and requested MPP to take immediate action to solve the problem.
Officers from the Enforcement and Public Health Department of Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) have now issued a Summons for a compound fine under the Local Authorities (Cleanliness) By-Laws 1999 to the business operator of the recycling business who also agreed to reimburse MPP for the cost of clearing up the illegal rubbish dump.
