SPCB assisting Chinese Nationals
The SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB was recently approached by a group of four China Nationals who requested for assistance.
They arrived in Kuala Lumpur this week and was referred to by the Head of MCA Public Services and Complaints Department, Datuk Seri Michael Chong.
This group of four is representing investors in China who have invested in a Bird Nest Investment Scheme operated by a group of Sarawakian.
They have invested in the Investment Scheme and have not received the promised return since July 2015 and could not contact the promoter. And to their surprise, the investment company office in Central Park Commercial Centre have moved away from the venue they visited during their last trip in June 2015.
According to one of them (Ms Dong), she invested in June 2015 and did not receive any investment return. The person in charge told the group that he is currently in Indonesia and promised to reimburse the owed investment returns in a few months time. However, after they reached Kuala Lumpur, they lost contact.
Following the complaint received, Wilfred Yap immediately arranged the group to lodge a police report at the State Police Commercial Crime Department at Jalan Badruddin.
