Free health screening
SARAWAK heart foundation and SUPP Mambong branch to organise a healthy heart programme.
Sarawak Heart Foundation (SHF) together with Sarawak United people Party (SUPP) Mambong Branch and Eastern Mall, Siburan, will be organising a free health screening at Eastern Mall Shopping Complex on 16th August, 2015.
According to the Organising Chairman Cr Ahkim Sarok, who is also SUPP Mambong Branch Chairman, the whole day event will start with free health screening conducted by Klinik Kesihatan Siburan in the morning.
In the afternoon there will be a talk on “How to prevent stroke and Heart Neurologist with Kuching Specialist Centre Attack” by Dr. Chai Chiun Hian, Consultant. Attendance is free and it will be on first come first serve basis.
Members of the public will also be able to meet with Senator Datuk Professor Dr Sim Kui, a renowned Heart surgeon. Datuk Dr Sim will be the guest of honour for the event.
In the evening there will be performances by Siburan Folk Dance Troupe.
On SHF, En Ahkim informed that it is a non-profit organization and their objectives, among others, are:-
Increase awareness among the public and healthcare providers on the prevalence and presentation of heart disease and stroke.
Develop a preventive strategy against heart attack and stroke and
Provide continuous medical education to health care providers and public.
