Seditious statement
The Statement of “Abolition of Chinese Vernacular School ” by Mohamed Azli Mohemed Saad ( Deputy Chairman of UMNO Bahagian Petaling Jaya Utara) is not only inciting and seditious in nature but also violates the fundamental rights to Chinese /Tamil education as safeguarded and enshrined in the Federal Constitution.
It is tantamount to an attempt to destroy national unity which has been well practised by all Malaysian since independence. Malaysia is a multi racial society and every citizen has the right to education via his mother tongue, said Sarawak United People’s Party Youth Chief, Tan Kai.
Tan Kai said he hoped that Mohamed Azli Mohamed Saad, or any other politician, will stop issuing such insensitive statement.
“I hope our beloved Prime Minister shall take the necessary action and urged the law enforcement authority to commence appropriate investigation against him to determine if his action/statement is punishable under existing law,” he added.
