Wilfred Yap Inspects RTP Projects at SMK DPHA Gapor
Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman Wilfred Yap conducted a site visit to SMK DPHA Gapor in conjunction with the implementation of two Rural Transformation Programme RTP projects, together with officers from the Public Works Department JKR, appointed contractors, and the school principal, William Tedong.
For RTP Project 2023, Yap said the visit marked the handover of the completed project to the school for maintenance.
He added that the project was an allocation of RM150,000, involved the construction of a new toilet block to improve hygiene, safety, and comfort for students and staff.
During the same visit, the Letter of Appointment and project site for RTP Project 2024 were handed over to contractor Syarikat Bumi Waja in the presence of JKR officers and the school administration.
The project, with an allocation of RM200,000, covers upgrading and refurbishment of school facilities as well as road resurfacing works within the school compound. It is scheduled for completion by the third week of January 2026 and were implemented following feedback from the school and local community, in line with ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure in Sarawak.
