Amy Tnay to defend her post
SUPP Tupong branch Women Section wishes to state that the section will support Kuching branch’s out-going Chairlady, who is also the party’s Central Women Section Chairlady Amy Tnay Li Ping, to appeal her case to Central Election Committee at party central’s level in order to defend her rights as an automatic delegate.
Meanwhile, the section members also want to declare their full support for Amy Tnay Li Ping to defend her post as Central Women Chairlady in the coming party election, so that she can continue to lead the section to assist in party affairs.
Apart from playing an important role in the revitalisation of party, Tupong branch Women Section also recognises Amy Tnay Li Ping’s contribution and hard work in uplifting the status of women members in the party during her tenure as the Chairlady of Central Women Section.
Tupong branch Women Section is urging all women members to participate actively in party affairs so that SUPP can regain the people’s confidence again under her able leadership in order to better serve the people of Sarawak.
Tnay was voted out of the Kuching branch chairwoman post. However, she was endorsed by the branch Triennial general meeting to go for the woman Central chief.
On Sunday, the new Woman chairwoman, Vicky Lim held the first meeting and refused to endorse Tnay to be the Woman Chief.
Tnay said she will appeal to the Central election committee as the TGM decision is the final decision in the party’s Constitution.
