Anti-Scam awareness talk at Chung Hua Middle School No.4
Deputy Premier, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said it is an almost daily occurance, someone irrespective of race, religion, young or old, female or male, urban or rural highly educated or not in Sarawak to fall victims to online scam.
Speaking at a anti-scam talk held at Chung Hua Middle school No 4, Dr Sim who was presented at the talk said digitalization is here in Sarawak but unfortunately it comes with negative effects like online scam.
“Be it international syndicate cahoots with local traitors, the best way of prevention is awareness education campaign. I thank hank Simpang Tiga Community Association together with SUPP Public Complaining Bureau for sharing their experience with the students, the teachers, the school boards from the first-hand experience assisting the victims, ” he added.
He said all should unite to fight scammers online.
