SUPP transformation plan
SUPP will continue with its transformation plan to groom the next echelon of new leadership in the party, said President Tan Sri Peter Chin, in respond to his Deputy President Datuk Richard Riot Jaem, who had earlier stated that old members of SUPP who lost in the previous election should step down in the coming party election.
Chin, who chaired the Central working committee (CWC) yesterday afternoon, said it is not good to point out who should give way to new leaders, as it depends on the circumstances of the party branches.
The grooming period must be carried out smoothly and when it is time for the election, we must let fresh face or younger people to be candidates.
Meanwhile, a forum for the party veterans will be held on August 9 to give this group a chance to voice and express their opinions and views on politics and the party.
Chin said these people are very important to the party as they were the ones who had been with them through thick and thin.
