Lo Khere Chiang at the handover of land for a wholesale association under RTP
Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang handed over two and half acres of land to Persatuan Pemborong dan Pengedar Kuching, Serian and Samarahan for a base for their trade this morning at Mile 6.
Lo said it was the GPS government who gave the land to the association and RM 200,000 for them to do leveling work.
He said after the leveling of the land, they can construct a proper market with parking facilities, cold storage and the necessary.
Asking the association to play a part too, he said as the State government has started off giving them the land, they should also help themselves by putting in a portion of their profit to help build the market.
“Do not rely on the government all the time. By giving the land to you, you do not have to squat here and there to the annoyance of other wholesalers. With the base, you can do your business in peace,” he said.
Asking the contractor to do a good job, Lo who is also the Padawan Municipal council (MPP) said in Padawan council, contractors who are not doing a good job will be axed from future projects.
