Jong Yean Pin thanks Bomba for sanitising Padungan areas

In view of the rising numbers of Covid-19 positive cases in Kuching, the Padungan Fire and Rescue Department, in response to the request from SUPP Kuching Branch, has carried out the disinfection in commercial areas such as Jalan Padungan, thus we will continue to disinfect Jalan Abell, Jalan Ang Cheng Ho and other places at Padungan.

SUPP Kuching Branch Jong Yean Pin, while expressing gratitude to Padungan Fire and Rescue Department, also handed over personal protective equipments and masks to its Deputy Chief Tuan Awang Effendi, as the carrying out of disinfection works require a lot of daily protections to keep the team in good order.

Jong said, an effective disinfection will not only reduce the Covid-19 transmission, but also contribute to the peace of mind for both the shopkeepers and the customers who patronise their shops.

While stressing the importance of personal hygiene and cleanliness of the common places, Jong also called on the public to continue adhering to standard operating procedures set by the State Disaster Management Committee in order to curb the spread of Covid-19 and stay safe in our environment.
