Call “Help hotline” if feeling depressed, advised Dr Sim Kui Hian
Sarawakians are told to reach out if they are feeling stressed, worried or depressed and when they felt that life is unbearable, advised Local Government and Housing Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Dr. Sim said in this period of covid 19, many people are trying to adapt to the new norms of staying in and many loses jobs and proper income.
It is inevitable that they become stressed and need to talk to someone about their problems. He said if they can, try to talk to family or friends. Or they can always call the Help hotlines provided.
On Tuesday, a high profile lawyer in sibu fell to his death from Sanyan building which police said he was depressed.
Since January to June this year, authorities had recorded 30 attempted suicide in Sarawak.
