Cross-cultural unity at the Pasar Ramadan
SUPP Publicity Chief, Dato’ Sebastian Ting who is also the Piasau Chairman, showed what 1Malaysia is all about.
With his Piasau branch committee, the group took a walk around the Ramadan stalls at Mosque Jaya along Airport Road.
Ting and his group mingled with the crowd and chatted with the hawkers.
He said as Malaysian it is normal for them to share in the joy of auspicious days with each other, despite their different religious and cultural beliefs.
Through such mingling with one another Ting added that it would foster the good relationship Sarawakians have with all races and different religions.
He said at the stalls, not only the Muslims were there buying food but people of all races. Sarawakians, he said should treasure and value such beautiful cross-cultural relationships.
