Temporary Occupancy Licence for Sg. Apong residents
Temporary Occupancy Licence (TOL) for 18 households in Sungai Apong Baru, Pending have been issued for the residents who has been waiting for decades.
Milton Foo, Secretary of SUPP Youth Central said the issue of land title issue has plagued residents in squatters area at Sg Aping Baru for more than 30 years has finally been resolved.
He said the Land and Survey Kuching had issued a one-year TOL to the affected residents at Sungai Apong Baru so that they can apply for a land lease within the said validity period.
Since 2016, Foo added that after years of perseverance and hard works, the affected residents have now been issued and obtained a temporary occupation licence (TOL) issued by the land office which would enable them to apply for land title.
The condition however is that the house must be self-built & is not allowed for sale otherwise the land office may retract the TOL resulting application for land title will not be entertained & considered by the relevant authority.
He said he will also assist the residents who have just obtained TOL to apply for land title in fulfilling their long awaited wish of getting the land title to the house where they have staying there for decades.
