Sebastian Ting considerate of the elderly
Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting decided to set up three counters regarding Kenyalang Gold Card on October 19 (Monday) at the Miri Civic centre from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm for the convenience of the old folks.
Ting who is also Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts said this was arranged for the sake of the elderly people who feel it is tiring to walk up the SUPP Piasau branch to collect the cards.
He said the three counters will be manned by the Piasau branch community service centre team.
Piasau branch has received over 1000 cards from the Welfare Department. Besides giving out the Kenyalang Gold Card, a counter will help those who wants to apply the card. A third counter will be for businessmen to join the Kenyalang Gold Card programme.
Ting has earlier gave away Kenyalang Gold cards to Kampung Lereng Bukit at the community hall.
