Sebastian Ting joins in search for elderly missing
An afternoon hiking at Canada Hill for Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting turned into a search party yesterday.
Ting and a group of friends were hiking taking the opportunity of the CMCO which allows exercise when they were told that an elderly man aged 80 had gone missing.
Ting then called friends from Bulatan Runners Club and Miri Hash Houses members for help. They all joined in the search for the missing man.
Later, a team found a man and one of the members carried him to safety. Ting said it was fortunate that the man was not injured and was able to tell them where he was from.
He thanked the search party for helping out the elderly man.
