DID cleans up Batu Kawa rivers
Local government Minister, Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian went to visit the rivers in Batu Kawa which was almost dry and had overgrowth surrounding it.
He said he had asked the Drainage Irrigation department (DID) to do clearing and deepening of the rivers at Batu Kawa a few months ago.
But due to the Movement Control Order, the project was put on hold. Dr. Sim said now with the Conditional movement control order (CMCO), DID will start work soon.
The clearing and digging of the rivers, he said, will prevent the area from floodings at the end of the year.
