SUPP Sarikei – Wong should reply
SUPP Sibu Chairman, Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh should be a gentleman and replied to the show cause letter if he think he is not wrong and not to stir up the emotions of supporters, stated a statement from SUPP Sarikei branch.
The Sarikei SUPP branch said Wong should realised that he ‘grew’ up in SUPP from a member to a state assemblyman, then to a senior minister. He has been in the party for more than 20 years and he should not take things personally if he has done wrong.
The statement also pointed out that the show cause letter to Wong recently has nothing to do with the internal conflict within the party. It stated that there were complaints lodged against Wong during the last general election and an investigation was carried out by the Disciplinary Committee which is independent from the Central Committee.
The statement also praised the Disciplinary Committee for taking action against Wong without fear or favour. It said the Disciplinary Committee is acting in a fair and just manner by taking action against anyone, be they ordinary members or leaders for committing offences against the party.
As for Wong who said that ROS has yet to make its decision on the party, the Statement said on March 26, 2011, ROS had written a letter allowing the party to continue with its daily business.
The statement also urged Wong to respect the leaders of SUPP and not to resort to his own personal agenda.
