Much needed chairs for Polyclinic
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Datuk Sebastian Ting lives up to his words to ease the lives of Mirians and to assist them in ways within his capacity.
Two weeks ago, while doing his normal rounds checking out Miri, Ting dropped by the Polyclinic and was dishearten to see the old and sick standing in corners while some sat on the floor waiting for their turn to see the doctor. He is known to walk all over his constituency to keep in touch with the voters.
On Monday afternoon, Ting went back to the Polyclinic again and to the delights of the patients and clinic staffs, he delivered eight rows of five seater-chairs for the waiting room.
The chairs were handed over to Dr. Jeci from the Clinic.
The considerate move by Datuk Sebastian received a positive response from visitors to the clinic. An elderly woman, Dayang from Kpg Lerent Bukit said initially, she did not know who Ting was. But he has made so frequent visits to her kampung to help and to participate in gotong royong that he has become a familiar face to all of them. “He is a genuine kind YB, the type we need in Miri,’ she added.
