SPCB: checking on Kota Sentosa Wet Market and Jalan Sungai Tapang
Following complaints received, Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) Chairman YB Cr Lo Khere Chiang and SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief Cr Wilfred Yap was at Kota Sentosa Wet Market to make sure that the sub standard workmanship of the improvement works at the fish section was rectified.
During the said visit, the officers from the engineering and public health sections of MPP and the contractor was also present. The contractor responsible for the improvement works at the fish section was given a stern warning by MPP on his unsatisfactory workmanship and the contractor promised to rectify all the complaints of the hawkers.
Cr Wilfred Yap will continue to follow up and monitor the rectification works until all the works are completed by the contractor to the satisfaction of all parties.
On another matter, residents at Lorong 7, Jalan Sungai Tapang had complained that a pile of discarded wooden material in their drain was hindering the smooth flow of rain water and had requested for clearing works to be carried out.
Following the request for assistance received, YB Cr Lo Khere Chiang, Cr Wilfred Yap together with MPP officers had gone to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to quickly resolve the problem. The problem have been solved with the clearing of the pile of discarded wooden material.
