Solving flash flooding at Taman Happy Valley
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Tan Kai, Kapitan Wong Ka Chuan together with representatives from Taman Happy Valley recently had a follow up meeting and discussion with Mr Chok Moi Soon, Director of Drainage & Irrigation Department and the consultants of Gala City Development at Wisma Saberkas on the flash flood problem at Taman Happy Valley, Jalan Luis, Kuching.
During the meeting, the representatives of Taman Happy Valley were briefed by the consultants on the steps taken by the developer to mitigate the flash flood problem at Taman Happy Valley.
The Director of Drainage & Irrigation Department also informed that his Department have already submitted an application for funding of RM850,000.00 for the construction of a large special pump to prevent flash flooding from occurring again.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau would continue to follow up and monitor the situation from time to time on behalf of the residents.
