Celebrating Mothers’ Day with flowers
Sarawak United Peoples’ party (SUPP) Stakan Branch, led by its Chairman Sim Kiang Chiok , Women Chief Pung Siok Eng, Publicity Secretary Oliver Chai and other committee members gave out Carnations to mothers working or patronizing the Riyal Market, in Stakan on Saturday.
This activity is one of the many ground activities carried out by SUPP Stakan Branch as part of their outreach program to get to know and understand the needs of the people in their area. The flowers were greeted with lots of happy and smiling faces.
SUPP Stakan Branch has been on the ground in several areas within the Stakan political boundary with house visits and an awareness program for government assisted micro credit to help women, hawkers and entrepreneurs. The awareness program will continue and added on where necessary.
