News Release from SUPP Central Women Section After CEC Meeting 29th April 2017
Yesterday (29th April 2017) SUPP Central Women Section’s Central Executive Committees (CEC) strongly urge parliamentary to pass The Bill of Domestic Violent (amendment act 2017) submitted by Minister YB DS Rohani Abdul Karim, Ministry of Women Family and Community Development without further delay.
This amendment included giving authority to each state and division welfare officers to issue Interim Protection Order (IPO) to the victims over the weekend. The process could be done within 24 hours. Besides, we strongly support the new amendment of the child sexual offences bill 2017 to be passed.
On the other hand, our party women section are against the RUU355 as this is unfair to women and an injustice to women’s right. We will stand firm with everyone to defends women’s right and justice.
