Dato Sebastian: boosting the food truck business
Sarawak United People’s Party (Piasau branch) Chairman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting is looking to boost the food truck business here, at the same time calling for government support.
Ting who is also the Piasau state assemblyman, said this new trend of business is growing in major cities in the state.
He said this has brought the street food to a new level and said SUPP will help the food truck business owners form interest groups to share their respective real world experience and successful recipes with fellow members in the group.
Pointing out that such food business will get the interest of the younger generation, he said the price is also much cheaper compared to the full fledge eatery.
These people, he said need financing to start off and one of the ways is through 1Malaysia Small Traders Foundation (Yayasan Penjaja dan Peniaga Kecil 1Malaysia) micro credit scheme.”
He urged those interested could come to SUPP office here or contact Chia Kah Fung at 016-8963170 for details.
