Borneo Futsal Cup 2016.
Batu Kitang Assemblyman, YB Lo Khere Chiang witnessed and participated in the closing ceremony on the final day of the Borneo Futsal Cup 2016.
There were 6 teams U12 boys and 3 teams U12 girls from the Sarawak Vikings family. The Australian delegation consisted of 43 players, officials and parents.
The Australian team have been travelling down from Bintulu, Sibu, Kuching and Samarahan, having friendly games along the journey, and ended in the finals of Borneo Futsal Cup 2016.
YB Lo applauded Zai, director of Vikings Futsal Sarawak and AFA on their joint efforts to make this 2 weeks Futsal exchange program a great success.
Lo is really happy to know the Australians had not only been fascinated by local rich culture, they also picked up our local greetings. They noted that interaction here is easier as we spoke English, “the food was good, people were wonderful!” quoted AFA director Mr Vincent Sciacca.
The Australian team and our local teams had a wonderful cultural exchange through the session.
