30th National SJKC Mathematics competition
A total of 2,940 pupils from 543 aided Chinese primary schools (SJKC) competed in the 30th National SJKC Mathematics competition held simultaneously across the country yesterday.
A National SJKC Mathematics competition jointly organised by the Federation of Ka Yin Chu Associations of Malaysia, the federation’s youth wing and Sarawak Ka Ying Community Association was at Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No 4 at Jalan Haji Taha here.
2,940 pupils form 543 aided Chinese primary schools took part in the competition officiated by Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang.
Lo praised the organisers for organising the competition every year and was pleased that so many pupils from Kuching took part in the competition.
He said there should be more of such competition to get children interested in maths.
