Checking out on problems on issuance of new passport
Following a number of negative publicity on the issuance of passports, Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting went to the UTC (Immigration) to check on the latest of the passport problem.
Ting said there was a fake message posted that it take at least 6 months to get a new passport and thus for the last few days, the UTC has been crowded with people worried of the long wait.
Urging everyone to stop sharing the fake message, Ting said the Immigration head of Miri, Yahya gave the assurance that the situation is very much under control.
For those aged 60 and above, the passport is RM60. Those 12 years and below RM100 and those aged 13 and above RM200.
