Dr Sim as Official Patron of Kuching Marathon.

Courtesy call by EXCO of KMA to Minister of Local Governments Sarawak, YB Senator Datuk Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian. The purpose of this courtesy call is to record appreciation towards YB Senator Datuk’s commitment as Official Patron of Kuching Marathon.

YB Senator Datuk expressed his vision to gather all city councils and city folks to work together in making Kuching city one of Top 50 Most Liveable Cities in the world and through such a grand international sports event such as Kuching Marathon with the involvement of so many participants of runners together with all government agencies, Kuching has emerged as one of the most vibrant cities in the region .

The courtesy call also witness YB Senator Datuk’s acceptance to be the Guest of Honnour for flag-off and prize giving ceremony of Kuching Marathon.

Kuching Marathon will be held on 14/8/2016. As of to-date, more than 8,000 runners had registered in 4 categories of run. Some 1,500 volunteers, medic, Royal Malaysia Police, Military Police, Rela etc will also be there to ensure the success of the event.

The accreditation of Kuching Marathon by Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS ) has put Kuching in the world map of running events as listed in AIMS calendar (http://aims-worldrunning.org/calendar.html)
