Day 2 Gawai visiting
Minister of Local Government, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian with SUPP members, visited the residents at Taman Desa Wira, Kpg Dayak Foochow and Sg Apong.
Dr. Sim said he felt very proud of their success, especially the Dayak community in Sg Apong – who were squatters given state land by his late father Tan Sri Datuk Amar Sim Kheng Hong in the 80’s.
Now not only every house is concrete but more importantly every house has at least a University graduate with many who are teachers or in the oil ang gas industry. He also added that every house has at least one who can speak Mandarin. It is truly a 1 Sarawak community.
