Foo: Will speak out against any injustice, but let us move forward
Candidate for Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Pending, Milton Foo, who received his authorization letter from the Chief Minister yesterday afternoon, urged all who has praised him or condemned him to move forward and concentrate on winning the election for Barisan Nasional (BN).
Foo received a lot of praises including backlash after he penned an open letter to the Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Adenan Satem for his dissatisfaction of BN direct candidates taking over SUPP seats. He wrote the open letter in Mandarin and stated his unhappiness over the ‘lost’ seats to United People’s Party (UPP) whose candidates will contest under BN symbol. Foo also stated two seats, Palawan and Pujut which was earlier on announced as SUPP seats but later lost to UPP candidates.
After his Facebook open letter was put out on Sunday, the letter went viral. Foo received both praises and condemnation especially from the PBB leaders who called him names.
Yesterday after getting the letter from CM, Foo told the press that he thanked the Chief Minister for trusting him. “This shows that he is a CM for all and willing to listen to every views and he can take criticism. If I were to be in the DAP, I would already be booted out,” he said.
Foo said despite what has happened, he would continue to speak out when something is not right and tell the truth to his supporters and Sarawakians. “I will stick to my principal to speak the truth,” he said.
Asked if he read the condemnation against him, Foo said he did not and will not comment on the matter. “Let us put all these behind and move forward to win the election for BN. This is the time to show to the people that we in SUPP will speak out against any injustice and seek the truth,” he said.
