Piasau Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting said the supply of drinking water at supermarkets and retail outlets in Miri remains generally sufficient despite increased demand following the announcement of the upcoming water pipeline shutdown. 砂人联党卑尔骚区议员陈超耀指出,美里多家超级市场及零售商店目前仍有足够饮用水供应,市民在水管维修停水前陆续购买饮用水及日常必需品,整体情况仍然有序。 他今早走访数家超级市场及零售商店,了解砂水务管理公司宣布水管关闭维修后的饮用水供应情况。 陈超耀表示,根据现场观察,大多数商店仍有足够饮用水存货,惟部分商店正等待供应商补货。 他说,在官方确认并宣布停水安排后,部分居民开始购买饮用水和其他必需品,作为预防措施。 陈超耀指出,砂水务管理公司早在5月26日发现水管渗漏后,已采取早期行动,规划维修工程、协调应对措施,并发出公众通告。 他说,这也让居民、商家及各机构有足够时间为暂时性停水作好准备。 他表示,目前情况保持稳定,大多数民众也已为短暂停水做好准备。 陈超耀希望维修工程顺利进行,并尽快完成水供恢复工作。 他也呼吁民众保持冷静,继续配合相关单位安排,并在这段期间互相支持。 “只要大家保持冷静、互相合作,我们一定能够一起度过这项挑战。”
