沈桂贤移交UNIFOR拨款予青山岩庙宇
砂拉越其他宗教单位今日移交100万令吉给青山岩庙宇，用于扩建项目之用。 砂副总理拿督阿玛沈桂贤在该庙举行的简短仪式上，代表其他宗教单位将模拟支票移交给古晋福建公会主席拿督黄良杰。 仪式上黄良杰表示由于建筑材料价格上涨和其它各种因素，建筑成本已从冠病疫情爆发前初步估计的500万令吉飙升到900万令吉。 他说，受到冠病的影响，施工也被推迟，这进一步加剧了成本调整。 目前，他表示估计整个项目成本可能高达900万令吉，特别是因为寺庙内部工程需要复杂的工作。 “第一期工程预计今年6月竣工，二期工程则预计9月竣工。” 黄良杰希望该项目能够在2025年农历新年前完工并向公众开放。 “我们希望寺庙落成的仪式可以与明年的妈祖诞辰庆典同时举行。扩建工程还包括图书馆、纪念品商店、食堂和办公室。”
沈桂贤见证水利灌溉局移交工程
气候变化带来的降雨量激增，加上地方快速发展影响自然排水系统，因此石角需要通过其他管道来舒缓，甚至解决水患问题。 在砂副总理兼石角区议员拿督阿玛沈桂贤多次与砂水利灌溉局磋商和研究后，已获得砂政府拨款在石角区推行“蓄水区”工程，这项工程将对闪电大雨带来的大量，但无法及时排出至附近盐柴港的雨水，有一定舒缓作用。 沈桂贤今天见证砂水利灌溉局移交第一个蓄水区工程给承包商，此工程将坐落在石角新市镇前方的空地，耗资1千988万，工程从今年5月24日至2026年5月23日。 蓄水区占地约4.2英亩，其深度是2米，水利灌溉局是通过公开招标方式，并由M/S wawasan capital 有限公司获得该工程。 沈桂贤说，这个蓄水区有两个功能，第一当骤雨来临时，它可以储存附近一带沟渠的水源，待雨停后，蓄水区内的水源会渐渐流向盐柴港至砂拉越河，这个情况可以舒缓大量来自民宅沟渠的水源，在同一时间流向河流，以致河床不敷第一时间同时接受大量排泄水源，并导致民宅沟渠积水问题发生。 “第二个功能是当没有下雨，蓄水区内没有积水时，蓄水区可以供民众踢球，是一个足球场。” 他说，全球气候严重变化，雨量激增，我们不能以过去的方式来解决水患问题，特别是地方快速发展，影响雨水快速排泄，通过设立蓄水区计划，是其中一项舒缓水患发展的途径。” 沈桂贤说，除了在石角新市镇设立该蓄水区，水利灌溉局也会在附近设立第二个类似工程。
