KUCHING: An elderly women and her sister seek legal advice from SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap after she received a letter of demand from a legal firm alleging that they owed RM130,000 and that if she did not pay up, her property in which she is currently staying would be transferred to the alleged creditor. Sarawak General hospital (SGH) had its first healthy volunteer for the COVID19 vaccines trial at Clinical Research Centre this morning. 老妇向叶耀星征求法律咨询

砂人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获一名年长女士及其妹要求提供法律质询。她们收到律师楼要求书,要求偿还13万令吉的债务;倘若无法归还欠款就将其目前所住的房产转移给债权人。 他指出,老妇还告知她曾应过世儿子的要求在一家律师事务所底楼签署了一些文件,但她不知道自己在签什么文件;因他们没有向她解释合约内容。另外女已就此事向警方报案。人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星已要求警方就此案展开调查。 叶耀星建议公众在签署任何文件之前要格外小心,避免产生问题。这是因为一般法律原则是无论该人是否已阅读或理解该文件,签署该文件的人受其条款约束。签署包含合同条款文件时,在没有胁迫,欺诈或虚假陈述情况下,签署该文件的当事方或个人将受到约束,且是否已阅读该文件并不重要。在法律上,语言障碍不是借口;任何人以他不懂的语言(马来文,英文或其它语言)签署协议或合同之前,他有责任问懂该语言的人或向律师询问文件内容。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉(016-7797688或082246999)或亲临人联党总部。


砂中央医院疫苗测试活动开跑

砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督斯里沈桂贤今日在砂拉越中央医院临床研究中心,向首批冠病疫苗临床研究测试志愿者加油打气,感谢他们参与疫苗临床研究测试。 砂拉越中央医院临床研究中心是国内9所获选参与中国疫苗临床研究测试的医院之一,共400名志愿者参与此测试计划,他们是随机被抽选注射疫苗,比例为1比1,即1人注射疫苗,1人纯粹是被选志愿者。 在场者包括砂中央医院院长严慧文及砂中央医院疾病专科医生蔡福兴。
