Chief Minister says he will always help Chinese school
Local Government and Housing Minister Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian will head a special unit to coordinate and manage financial assistance allocated to aided Chinese primary schools in the state, said Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg. 砂首长历史性拨款800万予砂华小
砂首长拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里指出，砂政府设立华小事务特别委员会，以协助砂华小发展。 他说，该委员会由砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督斯里沈桂贤领导，主要角色是协调砂华小事务，让砂政府能够拨出拨款给砂华小。 阿邦佐哈里今日主持峇哥中华公学新校舍落成礼时表示，过去以来砂政府接到许多华小提出拨款申请，在沈桂贤领导的委员会下，这些华小将获得应有的帮助。 他今日也宣布拨款800万令吉予砂华小，以作为发展用途。这意味着，砂政府今年已经拨出1700万令吉给华教。此前，他已经移交900万令吉拨款给予砂独中。 他强调，砂政府不遗余力帮助华教，因为砂拉越华校目前约6万名学生当中，有2万人是土著生。可见砂拉越华教受到各族群支持。
