Dr Sim: I never took up Australian citizenship
LOCAL Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian denied that he is holding dual citizenships despite spending 17 years in Australia. 沈桂贤驳斥本身拥有双重国籍的指责
砂人联党主席兼地方政府与房屋部长拿督沈桂贤反驳反对党有关他拥有双重国籍的指责。 他说，虽然他本身曾经在澳洲17年，当时是作为一名高中学生、医药系学生和进修专科，但他从不曾申请澳洲公民权。 因拥有大马与澳洲双重国籍，民主行动党埔奕区州议员陈长锋在砂州立法议会内被动议撤销州议员资格，而反对党趁机挑起曾经在澳洲逗留多年的沈桂贤，也拥有双重国籍。 沈桂贤对此强调，当他在澳洲完成专科课程之后，就返回马来西亚服务。 他说，与其他政党不同的是，他回来大马后是在政府医院服务，而不是在私立医院；其他政党一直批评政府，却不愿在政府医院服务。
