Dr Sim: we should not be confrontational

Minister of Local Government, Senator  Datuk Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian said the Prime Minister,  has reassured that he is willing to do an amendment which regard with the Malaysia Agreement 1963 spirit. Speaking to the media in DUN today, he said things should be settled in a democratic way and not through confrontation. He also urged the people to be patient. All these take time as what we have lost was due to the 53 years and what we want it back cannot happen immediately.


A family threatened seeking help

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by a father for advice and assistance on a threatening message that his son received for payment of RM14,000.00. Following the request for advice and assistance received, SPCB Chief, Wilfred Yap interviewed the father and his son and the son informed that he never borrowed any money from anyone. 民众投诉接获催债短信

日前一名来自石角的父亲向砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局寻求协助有关其儿子多次收到带有威胁内容并要求偿还14,000令吉的短信。 收到请求后,砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星与该名父亲及事主进行会面并得知他并未向任何人借钱,除了先前有向哥哥友人借过钱。事主也告知是他的哥哥收到要求偿还14,000令吉的催债短信。 聆听他们的问题后,砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局偕同该名父亲及两名儿子前往警局报案以展开调查。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局在此呼吁公众倘若收到任何具有威胁或攻击性的短信,不要害怕及保持沉默,应当前往邻近的警局报案。警方会视乎个别案件的情况以确认是否触法。报案后,警方将依法进行调查和处理相关事宜。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局劝告民众不要私下协商解决,应交由法律处理。 砂拉越人民联和党公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉(016-7797688或082246999)或亲临人联党总部。
